TIS THIS SEASON TO BE GRATEFUL, FA LA LA LA LA, LA LA LA LA! This month, being the month of gratitude, we wanted to take a minute to share with you the top reasons why we here at Blackthorn Dragons LLC are grateful for the reptile community! We invite YOU to follow along as we share our thoughts!

1.     Friends & Family!

This is probably the BIGGEST reason why we started our company! We have always been apart of the reptile community in some way or another and have built some of the most amazing friendships, it was a no brainer when we decided to turn our reptile hobby into a small business! We LOVE the quirky unique people who share the same passion as us!

2.     Business Relationships

This goes hand in hand with our number one reason! We are the business who we are today because of the OTHER businesses we have surrounded ourselves with! We are extremely grateful for the opportunities other companies provide and trust us with. Everything from feeder companies to supply companies and all the AMAZING breeders in between. The businesses in the reptile community are some of the best businesses out there!

3.     Education and learning from others

There are thousands and thousands of reptile species and even more ways than that on how to care for these remarkable creatures. We have honestly learned so much through our mentors and so much through other experiences. The research other people provide allows us to take our reptile keeping a step further and we can focus on new goals because we aren’t reinventing the wheel. There are so many subject matter experts out there that anytime we see a species that intrigues us, we are quick to ask questions and learn! We are extremely grateful for the wealth of knowledge the people of this community provide us with.

4.     Being able to help others

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, when we get DM’s and emails asking different questions! We love being able to provide help to others & we love providing everyone resources to make reptile keeping easier. We feel like everyone should experience the joys of reptile keeping without the stress, so if we can make one person’s life less stressful and enjoy their responsibility as a keeper, we can go to bed happy!

5.     Rising up on a bigger scale to make a change in the pet industry

We take pride in EVERYTHING we offer on our website! We choose our products carefully and we choose who we support carefully. There is so much misinformation out there and products that do NOTHING to better the community or the care of our animals. We hope to change that! Our goal is to provide a place the community can find QUALITY products and healthy pets that their animals and the community will benefit from.

6.     Escape from reality

Our small business was built for our LOVE of all things exotic! We have always had a genuine passion for reptiles, birds, and plants. And more importantly we have always had a deep appreciate for nature and our earth. This is what we enjoy doing, and all though it does take a heavy amount of work, we LOVE what we do. This isn’t something we force ourselves to do each day, this is something we come home after a long day at work and LOVE doing. As it is for many others, this is our escape!

7.     Finding new small business

We have found so many AMAZING other small businesses! We love supporting small business and we love being able to help small businesses grow. Small business owners take a lot of pride into everything they do, so you ALWAYS find better quality products and services than you would find at any chain store. From creative artists who work with glass to cute bowls and leashes for our scaly pets, we have found MANY wonderful small businesses that we will continue to support!

As you can see, there are so many reasons to be thankful for this incredible community! We wouldn’t be where we are today without all you! We want to give a huge thanks to the reptile community and a huge thanks to all the people who have touched our lives in one way or another! We appreciate you and we love being a part of your lives, seriously!
